The Toole County Treasurer/Assessor is responsible for determining the taxable value of property and collecting property taxes within the county. The office maintains property records, processes ownership changes, and issues tax statements in accordance with state law. It also manages the receipt and distribution of county funds to ensure accurate accounting of public revenue.
Superintendent of Schools
The Toole County Superintendent of Schools oversees and supports the public school districts within the county. The office manages district boundaries, budgets, and trustee elections, and ensures schools operate in compliance with state laws and educational standards. It also serves as a resource for school officials, teachers, parents, and the public.

In December of 2002, Boyd Jackson was appointed to the position of Toole County Treasurer, Assessor and Superintendent of Schools. Boyd was elected in November of 2004 and has since been re-elected in each election.
Boyd was born in Havre and graduated from Shelby High School in 1980. Following high school graduation, he attended Montana State University in Bozeman. In 1985, Boyd graduated from MSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. From 1985 to 1991, he was employed by Jackson’s IGA; Boyd also worked for Shelby Distributors from May of 1991 to December of 2002.
